Two hands
Toughened by hard work,
Two arms
Made strong by lifting others
Two legs
Criss-crossed with veins like
spider webs-
Well traveled
Two eyes
That have seen so much,
That have cried so much
In which burns the fire
Of an inexplicable vivacity
Two breasts
Which have suckled many a
waif
That have been the refuge
Of many a troubled soul
That have heaved many a
troubled sigh-
Sighs of pain, of grief
Of pity, of relief-
The Soul Warrior.

A woman of exceptional
strength
Survivor of turmoil,
of disappointment,
A woman graceful, hopeful,
Passionate, triumphant

Woman:
Mother, sister, lover friend
But above all,
A woman of faith,
Woman of God-
The Soul Warrior.
