Stars cold and distant,
Stars silver and beautiful,
Stars blue and gold,
Familiar yet aloof.
Stars shine for others
And for themselves;
For everyone
And no one in particular.
Standing naked in the night,
Bathed in starlight,
Awash in the astral glow,
Glittering and white.
Stars shine bright,
Fade with the daylight.
Leave me to consciousness,
Abandon me to forgetfulness.
Let me wander comfortless
Through the desert of wakefulness.
Stars return.
Guide me home.
Bring back the dreams
I once called my own.
Stars stand still.

The land of twilight.
